Irene´s Voice
Irene always spoke in a unique tone, different from everyone else’s. Her voice never went unnoticed. It was like a flash of lightning on a moonless night. For reasons that were never expressed with clarity, she stopped
singing before her time, before expressing everything that she kept in her illustrious mind.
This book is part of my process to give meaning to the trauma of losing one of the most significant people in my life. It is one reading, of many readings possible, of the environment which interacted with my daughter, Irene, that was a part of the fatal end of her days.
These pages, something between a family biography and a personal diary, reflect on the power contained in the smallest of decisions. “Irene’s Voice” amplifies the shout for help from children and adolescents in the interest of avoiding new tragedies.
