Reseña

anguage teaching-learning process is an activity that has been carried out since the beginning of human
history. We learn a language at home at that seems to be easy and natural. However, approaching people
to a language that is not the one they were taught at home is not that simple. Teaching someone a second
or foreign language takes time and effort, teachers are required to look for a way to get it done.
In order to teach a language, educators have always used different techniques and methodologies and
many of them have brought up positive outcomes. How do we know that? We know about it since
teachers themselves have researched and have seen that what they do in class works and many of them
have documented it. Hence, knowledge has been spread and other teachers can take advantage of that to
improve what they do in the classroom.
Educational research is as essential as any other type of investigation since the results will always help,
inspire and motivate instructors to carry out their job in a more effective way. English Teaching Practices
at Glance is a compilation of English teaching-learning experiences that were observed, surveyed, and
analyzed in order to have a deeper understanding of each one of them. These careful and serious studies
give readers the chance to understand in a better way how educational processes take place, what
happens in the language classroom, what the difficulties are, and most importantly how both teachers
and students perceive them.
